Anyone know much about Triumphs here? If so can you tell me what they classify "Phantom Black"? Is it the regular black or is it the metallic black I've seen some of their bikes painted in?

Oh noo, that's not the colour I wanted at all. Thing is I want to get my bike resprayed in the metallic black I've seen some of their cruisers painted in, like the Rocket III for example. It's the paint with all the metallic flecks in it, much like Kawasaki's Diablo Black. I was told by Bridge that it was called "Phantom Black", but obviously he was wrong. Thank god I asked here first! Anyone know what that metallic black they use on their cruisers is called?

I think you might find it's just that photo ...... I don't think they do a "matt black" ST :? If you go to the triumph site, all their paint options/photo's have the same sort of look to them

Kawasaki's Diablo black uses a reletivly new product called ixilliric, it is a very fine type of metalic that is more of a sparkle than a metalic, it is also found in the white on the new Blades etc, it is about £60 a litre but can look great.

Unfortunately as it has only been used on some of the more recent bike colours my suppliers are having trouble getting the codes for it, so i bought 1/2 a litre of ixilliric to play with to see if i could met a reasonable match.
