Come on peeps anyone watch it earlier?
Spies and the R1 are gonna take some catching i reckon (i know he is currently 10 points behind Haga at the mo), the Ducati is looking slow in comparison to the Yamaha however Haga looks to be riding a more of a controlled ride this year, not so much all or nothing.

supersports was awesome, well done to eugene and cructhlow
superbikes was the same as last time and where would wsbk be if spies hadnt have been punted off at turn 2 in the first phillip island race. what i find odd is the lack of increased lap and race times over last year considering the new improved big bang r1 and the extra 100cc on the ducati.

The only exciting watching was the Supersport race and the trip down memory lane with Walkers win at Assen.
Can't say i have ever seen such a boring couple races and for me to say that is a big thing. Wouldn't norm complain but had sh*t loads to do but had to sit and watch to buggers pace theirselfs to the finish line.
That Aprillia is looking ok though isn't it ???
Oh and did anyone else notice the mistake on the flags on the first race podium ??

nope fast forwarded through all the flags to get to the supersport race, where was the cock up ??
the aprillia does look good and im sure the bmw will get better and more consistent, i thought it would be a bit more exciting this season and hopefully when in europe it will be and that the tyres will perform better than they did in qatar

I wonder what that Aprillia would ride like with someone else on top of it. I know they said it was alot of Biaggi's input that has made it what it is but can't say i really rate Biaggi and maybe with better talent riding it could of even won a couple races now. A big ask for a bike straight out the tin but its showed its got the potentuil to do it.
Or maybe it just suits Biaggi's style
The flag c*ck up was Haga stood under Biaggi's flag in 2nd place and Biaggi in 3rd with Haga's lovely red spot flying above his head

That wasn't a big red spot, that was Biaggi's anger radiating off him. I think the main reasons aprilia got Biaggi is because itialian on italian bike and also the wealth of experience he brings them and he can still hold his own near the front. Sadly this has resulted in a bike focussed for him but I definitle think that in the coming races, especially around europe that v4 will start to come into it's own.
we were talking about all this on sunday over a mug of coffee. I do think Spies will be tough to beat this year. Now to change my dream team...

Better talent than a four-times 250GP champion, multiple 500cc & MotoGP winner???

Strewth Blimey, you don't want much do you mate?
Can you name anyone with more race-winning pedigree who was available? I think most, if not all of his 250 glory days were with Aprilia so they have a lot of history.
Sure he can be a prick when Valentino's rubbing his nose in it... "Rossi's on the best bike (works Honda)" - so Vale goes to the no-hope Yamaha and cleans up on it, whilst Biaggi goes to the aforementioned Repsol RC211V and still doesn't win the championship.... on his day though, he is a class act and a bloody good rider...

Things should get a little more interesting when they hit Europe. I do hope shakey pulls his finger out thou else my dream team is well in the poo!
Whats happened to checa? He should be getting better results than this considering the amount of experience.
World supersports ace come on the brits.

Appologies to Scotty i think i worded that wrong. Talent was prob not the right word as he obviously has it and proved that, i think where i was coming from was that he may have lost it a bit and is a had been
Is that too harsh ??
I know its the only 2nd race of the season but i can't say i've seen him pull off any do or die moves in a long while and run away at the front.
I know maybe he hasn't had the right bike and is an experienced rider so knows how to play the game, just i feel maybe with so much experience he is playing it all a bit too safe at times and thinking more about what ever points he gets is better then nothing where in bike racing your not going to be at the top of the championship with that attitude.
Does that all make sense without making him look bad ??

A mate from work who is one of Alex Snows mechanics (moto x) was at a race over the weekend working on his bike when up pops Troy Corser. Apparently a friend of the team and shows up from time to time when not busy.
Anyhow he was raving about the new BMW saying upcoming races your going to see some major improvements and quick ones to.
Thier line up of trick bits and bobs for the bike is going to see some very quick changes and they are going to progress very very quickly.
So watch this space. Who's got him in thier fantasy team then ??
