No helmet

Post by Funky »

this morning, on my way to work, I saw an asian guy, middle aged, on a scooter going along Pinhoe road. He didn't have a helmet on, just his Turban. Does anyone know the law on this?

It is legal, but is it sensible ????

Why not? he won't get hurt unless God wills it, and if he does that's alright isn't it

Sikhs are indeed exempt from the helmet law

I often wondered about how the law can proove your religion or faith

they cant ask you to proove it, so maybe I will give it a try :)

not sure on the current law regarding fines/points etc, but used to be a £25 or £30 fine, and I regularly popped to the shops or the pub with no lid on, only once got pulled, and just got told off

It's the census next year.

if enough people put their religion as "Motorcyclism" or something like that then it will have to be reckoginsed.

I see an internet campagin starting soon.

PC or not, but I say why the hell should they be allowed to ride without a helmet just because of their stupid religion. I wouldn't expect to go another country and do things against their laws and get away with it because of my religion. This whole country is run by pussies too scared of the minority but perfectly happy to fist the majority.

Anyway, my religion is Chuck Norris. It means I can roundhouse kick you in the face. twice.

Seems like we need to spread the word on chuck norris religion of motorcyclism... only a matter of time before a facebook group starts.

Can Wankey start this?

But I dont think it should be law to wear one anyways. If you're stupid enough not to wear a lid you've got it coming to ya
