anyone had it done?
theres a brand new hrc jetting kit for my bike on fleabay but its pricey, normally they are £250 but starting price is £120 at the mo

If you have altered either the inlet or the exhaust in any way, making them less restrictive then you really need to have the bike jetted to suit the new set up. Any changes to the induction or exhaust will mean that the factory jetting is now incorrect, leading to flatspots through lean fueling or richness, it's not uncommon with some exhausts both cans and full systems to cause the bike to run lean in the midrange yet make it run rich at wide open throttle. A jet kit will optimise the performance of the bike through the entire rev range, but only if it is installed correctly and set up on a dyno, where there is the facility to measure exactly what the air/fuel ratio is throughout the whole range of the bike. The HRC kits are ok but sometimes they will only work well with a specific exhaust system and filter combination.
