Police and Partnership camera vans
Is it just me or have they been taken off the road already?
I know it has been said in the press that some counties were looking at this. But I can’t say that I’ve seen one for over a month or even two in Devon.
Has anyone else seen any cross the southwest?
So is it safe to go out now?

they don't tend to have them beside the railway line ......
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Seen a couple of coppers with hairdryers at the roadside a week or or so ago, might just be you've been lucky
Maybe the Devon ones have been lent to Somerset and Cornwall Police Depts.
Mini Beth might be able to give more info on the actual timescale as she hangs out with them at the weekends although I think she mostly rescues Matt from over indulging in Launceston

Seen the b'stards 3 times on the B3227 at Hillcommon in the last month or so and once last night on the A358 at Henlade just after the new two lane 30mph stretch by the park & ride, so sadly it looks like they haven't buggered off from Somerset.
Shame really as I hadn't seen any for months and was hoping they'd given up. Fat chance

And there was me thinking that those butt munching fukcwits weren't allowed to use the LT20/20 hair dryers on bikes.

Noticed that the static camera on the A386 at Horrabridge was flashing away today - at an ambulance - so maybe the MCN statement is - shock horror - a load of bo**ocks - no suprises there then!deej wrote:about 6-8 weeks ago mcn stated that all static cameras in devon n cornwall were turned off, like to see how that will stand up in court...

Re: Police and Partnership camera vans
Have seen one clocking people just after Carkeel roundabout on the A38 heading into cornwall. Hiding in the Trematon turning catching people on the short dual carriageway bit. Watch out!
