Further to the info on 1000cc Grasstrack Sidecars...here's some more on the speedway side of things.

1000cc Speedway sidecars race in the ACU Track Racing series in England and also in the FIM World Championship. It is limited to around six rounds here, but sidecars race almost every week in Australia, where the World Champions Mick and Jesse Headland hail from.

I started racing these bikes earlier this year and have ridden with drivers Rick McAuley in the UK and abroad, and also rode with Tris Winterburn in the World Championships coming 12th.

The bikes run the same stock engines as the grasstrack bikes but have different frames and no brakes, this is a promo video made a while ago now but this is sidecar speedway...

Coming off the line on the inside with driver Tris Winterburn at the World Championships (Coventry).....the track was totally waterlogged and the whole day ended up like something out of wacky races with everyone going spinning off, crashing into air fences etc.

Again if anyone would like any information or would like to come along, drop me a line and i'll be happy to help.
