I'm budgeting for my trip over UK and Europe in May......need an idea of what you're paying for petrol atm (or the highest it's been lately). ????

Exeter is £1.31 - £1.34

But as Merv says, depends on where. I think the Motorway services are nearer £1.39 at the moment.

Supermarkets are generally the best value if you can get off the Motorways.

I recall from trips across France etc in 2010 that fuel was a bit cheaper there - compared to the UK.

More recent threats of blockades in the Gulf will probably filter through resulting in higher prices soon ~x(

i have seen unleaded at £1.42.9 today but have read that the blockades being threatened by the US could add as much as 50p on a litre !

time to get the push bike out of the loft i think or start stockpiling fuel in the shed

Thanks folks.

I'm kind of in shock!! But it has made me re-adjust my budget.
Might have to survive on tins of baked beans while I'm there.
