A Big hello to all South West bikers.
Sadly I didn't realise there was such a group in the South West. I've only lived in devon 8 years !! duhh!!!!

Anyway its good to be on onboard the goodship SWB.

I'm based in Teignmouth and currently ride a KTM RC8 carbon (so will be pleased to hear from any other RC8 sufferers as we seem to be a minority group!!)
Previously had stacks of bikes ranging from the ol' faithful FS1E, plenty of RD's and KH's in my time including LC's.
Then progressed to 4 strokes and ran GSX's & GSXR's ZXR's ZX7's Blades for a few years.
Had a brief spell of drag racing in the late 90's onboard a Nitrous Oxide injected 1170 Katana....scary bike but survived to tell the tale!!

Would love to hook up with you all for a ride out (are there any planned) or simply drop me a line and feel feel to drop in for a beer (low alcho obviously as you are law abiding bikers)if your ever in good ol' Teignmouth

PS if anyone is into the classic bike scene (70-90's rides) I sell replica seat covers at a very reasonable price...and to you my fellow SWB a discount can be arranged

Hope to catch up with you all soon

Russ

hi russ and welcome in to swb.

myself and lady g live in the good old mouth of teign.loody firm ride but handles like it's on rails. :)): :)): :)):

i have been lucky enough to spend a day on an RC8, i did enjoy it, b

there are various rides organised but feel free to post up one of your own if you like. i take it you do the tuesday bike nights down at the railway station in town ?

if you are up for a social there is a bimble next week, something a little different on june 16th (rttb) and whatever happens in between, be it pub meets, early rides, sunday blasts etc. there are different rides for different paces, just ask the organiser what the pace will be like.

Hi Mate

they are nice bikes, handle & stop really well, could do with a little more speed but out of the corners the drive is awesome. Fueling can be a bit glitchy and town riding is pants but thats not why you buy one. They are not like owning a Jap 4, but they certainly have character & I love em.
Take one out on a test ride -you'll be hooked and they are now very affordable

Stay safe
Russ
