Okay so with the winter upon us and Christmas coming up I want to do something nice and start getting some shine
bits together to help krystal with next year's track days,

As she's riding a z750 the brakes and suspension aren't great and want to sort these out as I find them shocking!!

Question for people is that the z750 runs the crap opposing 2 pot tokico calipers and a fisher price master.
Someone has already put braided lines on it but still not great.
It's only 2 years old and 4k miles so fluid should still be good.

Question is with the 55mm bolt holes not much fits without adapter brackets,
So is it worth upgrading the master for a decent radial item first?
Was thinking of triumph speed triple radial on there first to try,

any helps or tips would be helpful,

Know what you mean , my 06 's' is the same. Pad choice can make a big difference but like you say the calipers are lacking power. Mine has a zx6r 05 shock and fettled forks so my handling worries are over. What about Versys 1000 calipers?

I do like where your coming from but unfortunately they are 63mm centre to centre so would need brackets.

So time to try and find adapter brackets and calipers to match or the only other thing is a zx6r front end swap,

Front end swaps are the popular choice, i think the standard forks are one is rebound and the other compression - wierd!!!!

Are you sure they are 55mm holes, asked on a Kwak forum and they seem to think it would be 65mm.

Yea I'm sure unfortunately as it's the crap non opposed 2 pot Nissin brakes,
The same that comes on the sv650, but there adapter brackets won't fit across,

I found similar but they were radials that weren't working,
That looks a fairly smart bracket maybe worth a punt?

That changes the spacing from 55mm to 65mm for normal tokico 4pots,


So the versys calipers should fit also, and early gsxr,

Ideal well also managed to get a bargain of a z750r master on order yesterday for £27 so that should help and bleed the brakes out should help also but if can get these brackets and calipers also would be awesome!!

Then there's the offset to cater for. The 04-06 Z was scuppered from using the SV brackets was the offset required for the bracket to caliper distance, too great and it will flex like crazy. But no info regarding a 2012. Who knows you might be lucky. It's only metal, beat it until it complies!!

The sv ones defiantly won't work as the forks are threaded and The adapter goes the wrong side for the z,
Still though definitely thinking of a zx6r front conversion now as all bolts into the z750 fork crowns,

But on a good note, my bargain of a radial master turned up today,
£27 and £4 p+p for a z750r master! Yes does have a little bit of damage but nothing a grinder can't fix!!



also bought myself a vacuum bleeder to make the job so much easier,

And now just secured a deal for a set of forks, yokes, calipers, Lines, spindle, spacers and mud guard from an 06 plate zx6r, so just got to sort out some zx6r bearings into the z750 wheel and bolt straight on!!

Bigger bonus is that they already have been fettled and got k tech internals!!
So can't wait now should make it the bike it should have been!!!

What are you planning for the rear?
I've ridden a standard one on track and the back was far worse than the front. There's almost no damping at all on the standard shock, and very little travel.

Don't know yet depends on what turns up, did get offered a nitro and a wk rear shock but couldn't afford that sort of figure but will do some research and see what fits with minimal mods and probably go with that, maybe zx6r zx10r or similar,

Well as it turns out the zx6r shock is the same length and as there the same weight can't be too far off,
And as the fronts coming from a zx6r this should be fairly balenced,

And as it turns out the c6h aren't that desirable and got one coming for £31!
So that's front suspension and brakes and rear suspension sorted, just wait for it all to turn up and start spannering!!

Should make a hell of a difference,
