stutters at low revs on my GSXR1000

I have a Suzuki K6 GSXR1000 that has developed an unusual stutter at low revs. When I first start the bike Idle is perfect but upon pulling away shakes and stutters until the revs are over 3k at which point it suddenly leaps forward and pulls as it should to the redline. Regardless of gear If I again allow the revs to drop below 3k it shakes and stutters again like I'm only running on one or two plugs!
I treated the bike to Injector cleaner, checked the F1 fault codes to no avail. The plugs are good as is the air filter! Upon researching on the internet I am not alone in this and no one has offered a diagnosis so far hence trying on here with all you knowledgable mechanics!
Lastly, the bike does not have a power commander and I have tried resetting the ECU and removing battery but still the same result!
Any hints would be good!

Sounds almost fueling related,
In the gsxr fuel tanks there is a "teabag" filter.
These can clog over time causing a similar problem

I had a similar problem with my old girl. Changed everything, vac pipes. ICV, TPS, plugs etc.
Turned out (after 4 months) to be the silencer !!

Thanks for those tips for me to look into ! Will report back on what I find! Cheers mates!

Hi all, ok; after checking out fuel filter, air filter TPS, STPS , baffle in /out and no error codes the problem remains! As mentioned earlier regardless of gear the bike stutters between 1,500 and 3,ooo rpm then pulls normally. This makes pulling away from traffic lights a nightmare as the bike bogs down and sometimes stalls. While riding along again If I allow the revs to sit at 3k or below the bike stutters and shudders regardless of gear so it is definitely related to rpm. Once passed that rpm the bike pulls cleanly and rapidly to the redline with no hesitation!
Extra info;1. the bike always starts first time with a good steady idle.
2. No hesitation anywhere in the rev range above 3k.
3. When sat in neutral and gently increasing the revs one can feel the stutter begin around 2k - 3k requiring more throttle to pass it.
4. TPS / STPS calibrated with multimeter to correct specs ( no change)
5. Used a bottle of Injector /fuel line /carb cleaner. No difference!
6. Installed / removed baffle on Yoshimura Tri-Oval catalyzed system (no difference)
I have searched the internet to no avail as a few riders experience this with no answer! hmm
7. Just noticed I am now getting pinging noises from my clutch while it is idling so something else to check out?

what do normally ride it like ?
if you pootle around and don't ride the revs then you could just be coked up. stick a good shot of redex in there and go and have a blast. Low gears/high revs. give the fuel system and injectors a good clear through.

Hi Billinom8s, yes, was thinking maybe that's what it needs? Will report back after me run! lol

My dear old dad - 500 single norton (ex TT), rudge, chater-lea, austin 16, humber snipe (you get it) - always said that 99% of problems were caused by the 3 'P's - Petrol, Plugs & Points. Be nice wouldn't it ?
The Humber was over 4 litres, 6 cyl. - 0 - 60 c. 20 secs and could reach (eventually) 80 mph. Don't think we went much over 45 though !! Happy days.

Well, gave it a good run and still the problem persists!

It's like the injectors wont work at low revs or something 1.5k - 3k rpm ??? Stood the bike on the paddock stand and went through the gears with the same result; bad stuttering at those revs then sudden pickup at just over 3k with a mad rush of power! It makes no difference If you touch the throttle or wide open, the stutter is always the same at those revs. When I got the bike last year this problem was not there so it's something that has happened while owning it! hmm.
Today I pulled away from the traffic lights but the bike would not pickup for a fair distance stuttering as If out of petrol barely managing 15mph , finally hurtling forward when the revs hit just over 3k. Like I said there are no warning codes showing so all sensors seem to be working along with the injectors!

Bring it round to mine if you want me to have a look at it.

Ok, and for other's benefit I am pretty certain that it is a rouge sensor. I will run a full diagnostic test on the TPS and IAT sensors using a digital multimeter.
Anyway, will report back after running these tests!

Common fault on the K6 is a sticking clutch due to low oil circulation within the basket. Its a pretty quick easy and inexpensive fix,
Plenty of info on google so worth having a quick look to see if the symptoms are similar to the ones you are seeing on your bike.
Good luck with repair cos its a stonking bike. Not that I am biased or anything

Have you checked the plugs? Maybe breaking down under load.
