Few shots of the wheels I fitted of Mick Riddle's Suzuki GSXR 750 SRAD he races in the Golden Era Superbike class with Thundersport GB.

They are a set of Gen 1 RVS Mille wheels modified to fit the stock SRAD forks and swingarm. Carbon finish may not be to everyones taste, but while at the tyre truck one of the other riders asked how they were as he'd had some carbon wheels and loved them B-)

Total weight saving was nearly 5kg, not to bad a result. By the end of the weekend he'd knocked 2 seconds off his time from the start of the weekend.

They look smart :-bd

Was there much work involved, milling or shimming wise?

A little work yes. Front needs discs spacing so relatively straight forward, just time consuming to make the plates correctly.

Rear needs different bearings, inner spacer tube , spacers and the bolts for the sprocket carrier need to be machined to clear.

That makes sense, I always have great respect for those who do this sort of work and they look really good :-bd :-bd

Lathe is on my wish list, as is the knowledge to use it properly ;) :)) :))

Hi Sraders......... I'm interested in the mod... Has anyone else carried it out?

Please provide photo's/specs of the parts needed... Like what RSV parts are needed, other than the rims?

What SRAD parts can be re used with the RSV wheels...

How much weight is saved ?...... TIA
