Coolant question

Any General info on Mechanics based on 'all' bikes...

OK recently ive noticed that the bike is getting hotter than normal...Then when i stop and turn off the engine, Coolant/Water comes out of the resivour over flow....
The level is fine but a litle concerning.

Any ideas??

Hmm radiator is not blocked stopping air flow through it is it ? has it a fan , has that stopped working?

Not blocked and both fans work.

Water pump circulation?

Blocked thermostat then,

Not pressurised once left overnight is it??

Thermostats get grotty. Take it out (keep it) do a few miles, see if that works.

Yes - get new T

No - put it back.

You can get test kits to see if there are hydrocarbons in the coolant, to see if it is being pressurised by a weakening head gasket .......

All sorted.....

Gave the system a good flush through with a hose in the rad .....after a good flush then refiled system IAW the manual and job done....

Did you back flush the rad? , put hose in outlet at bottom , and shove water back up through the rad
