Euro trip May/June 2020
After last year's expedition, looking at more exploration of Germanys Eifle mountains.
Plenty of notice for folks to plan and ask questions and save their pennies and arrange time off work.
Plan A so far
Thursday May 28th. Tunnel crossing from Folkestone 0830/0900hrs
Enjoy some fun European roads, stop somewhere between 150 and 200 miles.
Friday May 29th Amble on to final destination, where we'll be for 5 nights.
Here we have access to quite possibly some of the best European biking roads and scenery this side of the Alps or Pyranese. Time to chill, explore and for those brave enough, take in a lap or 2 of the Nurburgring.
Wed 3rd June Head back to UK. Early afternoon tunnel/ferry from Calais.
Brexit might be hapoenning between now and then but as a ball park figure, looking at around £650, all in. Accommodation on a B&B basis, fuel, food, beer.
PM me or 07968151573 if want to know more.

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

I think its official now Nick you have become the SWB Summer European biking tour guide.
As much as I would love to join this would need a divorce first. Leave from work is precious and its time spent with the wife and daughter so going to have to give this a miss.
However from talking to you about this years trip for anybody who is considering it and can go this is one not to miss.........

Sounds ok Nick and this is far enough away to plan it.
Re: Euro trip May/June 2020
Definitely maybe...
Self-catering would be my choice as I'm not much of a breakfast person... And continental breakfast can be a bit limited, or maybe I've just had some rubbish breakfasts over there.

Put me down as maybe a definately possible Nick; and I'm also with the Inspector of Jugs re' the brekkie thing - I like it, but not first thing, so self catering's my choice too.

Rock on I’ll be there with the usual caveat of securing hols with work... b&b for my vote as I can’t miss breakfast now I’m old lol.... gone are the days of just 2 bensons and a brew....
Re: Euro trip May/June 2020
Not for me mate as I'll be in the Pyrenees a couple of weeks earlier and can't really do two Euro trips in a month......

Re: Euro trip May/June 2020
Plenty of hotels do a rate without brekkie. We often choose to go across the road for coffee and a pastry or have a bite later rather than pay €15 for hotel breakfast.
Anyways ... I can’t commit so far in advance but I’ll certainly come if I can. We’ve had a blast on previous trips

Bit of momentum going on this so far. Looking like we're looking at a B&B basis. I'm kind of searching and looking for ideas, obviously the sooner we commit the better deal I'll be able to sniff out.
If people want, it's early days but might be an idea to get together and have a brain storming over a pint.

Think both Wendy and I could be up for this. May is my busiest month so a bit far out for me to completely commit.
