Re: breakdown cover
I'm with RAC ..... haven't had to use them for a while, but when I did they were very good. As with a lot of things, there's an element of luck who who you get & what their capabilities are. The sole reason I use the RAC is that its effectively free, by purchasing the cover with my Tesco club ca...

Re: Multi-bike insurance recommendations.
Ive been with the same company for several years now, and in that time they've been bought out/sold twice!! The current owners are Adrian Flux ..... not a company I'd go to by choice, but unfairness they seem reasonable. The policy is on one bike (the TL) with the MV as an additional.

Yep, just like the 20 mph one does on the B3214 Old Laira Rd to Mutley Plain road. Over £20,000 in fines in the first three weeks they were up I was told - the cameras are still there folks so be very aware, they're active both ways. My pal Geoff's son got a fine and points for 26 mph there last ye...

I keep threatening to return the TL to life, but wouldn't suggest anyone hold their breath  ....... Done a surprising amount of miles this year on t'other one, including a couple of 3-400 mile round trips - even had to purchase some new tyres  The odometer steadily (scarily) approaches a ...

Re: must apologise
I looked out the window Saturday morning and thought "Yay, sunshine" I got my chores done, got the bike out the garage, went in to get my jacket, helmet and gloves, got togged up, was just putting my helmet on and the rain started  x_x ~x( back into the garage the bike went, and ther...

Re: Roy Bulcock Memorial Rideout - NEW DATE Sunday 26th October
Jug, you're now a fully qualified grey one, not just a trainee one. Sunday's clock shenanigans means an hour less in your pit, not an hour more 😄 Hmmm, not sure how you figure that Phil, as I'm pretty sure I end up working an EXTRA hour, booking on in Truro just before midnight ...... ...

I've just fitted a set of Diablo Rosso's and they seem pretty decent. Before that were Metzler M5's, which were also excellent. I think the Metzlers did something like 4 - 4.5k

Eeek!! :80: Been there, done that ........ fully loaded GPz1100, two up, stopped in a layby in France and by chance saw one link sideplate hanging down  fortunately a passing French "motarde" pointed out that where we'd stopped, just outside Nevers, was the home of AFAM and toddled of...

Re: Chain help
Drop the chain off and spin the rear wheel, watching the sprocket teeth. Try and do the same with the gearbox sprocket. Sounds like one of the sprockets is oval ...... pr perhaps not seated/centred correctly.

Re: New tech for the bike
Being out on the road driving for most of the day you see how little attention people in cars pay to where they're going, what's going on around them and who they're cutting up etc. Whilst driving the car I spend a good 80% of my time watching the speedo on anything other than where I can use eithe...

Re: New tech for the bike
If you like that kind of thing, fair enough, but I ride my bike to switch off and get away from the every-day crap in the world, not to hook up to it even further. Sometimes it's good to be "unreachable"
