It wasn't last month for my car. Shocking lack of communication from a lazy government. Now I can't ride until the MOT which I can't get till next Friday, but they will want me to pay tax beginning of the month, so I lose 10 days. Doesn't even go on roads. I eventually managed to get a ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg with a cabin outbound overnight for £145 each for 3 people for an 8 day trip.

I've been organising a similar trip recently, though only to France. Give me a shout if you have any questions. First tip, take some bulldog clips to hold the ferry/Chunnel tickets!
