Re: Sunday 24th May

Upping the hazard anticipation and riding accordingly minimised the risk. You can actually stop quite quickly with just the rear brake. I did have the back up of the front brake working again if I needed it. I assume 750+ miles riding in rain last week must have got enough crud in by the pistons of ...

Re: Sunday 24th May

Re: Can anyone help me with a problem with my Triumph

A possibility is poor earth connection. There should be virtually no resistance between battery earth terminal, frame and engine. That engine earth lead is as important as the power side connections.

Re: Sunday 24th May

Be good to catch up with you Steve. Aim is to leave the petrol station at 09.45, nice if you can be early enough for pulling away then. No problem though if you are a bit late, we'll wait....

Recommendations for UK only breakdown cover please folks? Which company is least likely to leave me waiting hours on end should I need recovery?

Epic trip. When I stopped at the Cat & Fiddle - elevation 1689ft 515metres - 40+mph winds and raindrops the size of your head. A tad more comfy overlooking Ladybower reservoir. Winnats pass, just outside Castleton highly recommended.
