Re: CONFESSIONAL

We had a new RAF copper posted to our quiet little station when i was in the RAF and he was a total knobber straight from the word go, so after cutting halfway through the frame on his pushbike so it collapsed as he rode up the road (which was pretty funny as it fell into two parts actually) we dec...

Re: CONFESSIONAL

Ok, let's do this! Years ago I was out very late with a friend. We'd been ermmm enjoying ourselves and were a little worse for wear. We came to the top of a hill and at the bottom, we could see a massive fire directly adjacent to a house that was obviously occupied, we charged down the hill and went...

Re: Newbie looking for inspiration.

Hi, I really know sweet nothing but, a colleague was looking at buying a Harley, anyway, he spoke to my very good friend who builds/repairs bikes for a living. The advice was to have a look at an Indian as a friend thinks they are so much better, easier more reliable than a Harley. Long story short,...

Re: Advice for short riders please

Hi Dorset Dumpling. Thanks for sharing that with us. I'm 5ft 3ish but have a 30" leg. Its so good to hear of someone else having the same issues and yet still riding. So practice, practice, practice for me then. Hopefully, we'll catch up face to face one day, be nice. x

Re: Advice for short riders please

Oh no Ming, don't think like that. I was hell-bent on riding this morning so I can shake the whoopsie off, but my dad has said he wants to loosen the chain before I ride it again - booooooo! Hopefully, get out tomorrow morning - weather allowing! But honestly, I've ridden big, highly strung horses m...

Re: Advice for short riders please

Wow, thanks Scott for taking the time for such a comprehensive response. I do love my Sv sooooo much. I have had thicker soles put on my boots, but, if and when I feel it's time for a change, I am definitely going to try the suggested boots and if and when I get the chance, I shall see if I can try ...

Re: Advice for short riders please

Hi, be nice to meet you. I absolutely adore my bike and after a few months of riding every day, I find it fits me beautifully. I practice my stops as I know it's my weak spot by riding home right through the center of Exeter in the hope ill hit loads of red lights. Weirdly, I never really do when I'...

Re: Advise for short riders please

Thanks, guys for all your advice. The bike has been lowered and I've had thicker soles put on my boots. Ill practice the ass off technique but ill get it down before I take my daughter out again. Phew, I thought I might be hit with cross comments about I shouldn't take anyone on the back if I can't ...

Advice for short riders please

Hi everyone. As a small female (5ft 3 and 65 kgs), I can only get one foot down properly which is fine on my little SV650S. I'm a novice rider and a while ago, I was riding with my dad. His bike got a puncture and although id never had anyone on the back, I needed to give him a lift home. Dad probab...
