Re: breakdown cover
AutoAid for me too. I was with the AA for 30+ years, but the constant changes to cover, huge price increases, and poor responses to queries all forced me to change.

Re: Bike nights at the Bluebell Cafe, Willand nr Cullompton.
I was on my old Guzzi 750T, 1991 in red. It needed a run out as I’m bedding some new pads in on a replacement disk. I had a chat with a couple of blokes, admired a few bikes and had a coffee. When it was down to 4 or 5 bikes I decided it was time to go. Maybe we passed with you leaving as I entered ...

Re: Bike nights at the Bluebell Cafe, Willand nr Cullompton.
Got here for about 19:40, several bikes leaving but still around a dozen in the car park. Talking to some of the guys here it was apparently quite full at 6-ish, but I couldn’t make it for that time today. Starting at 5pm is always gonna be a bit early for some. Still a few lads with bikes here now ...

I’ll probably pop along to see what’s going on. Look out for an old codger on a small, red, old Guzzi 750.

Re: fighting back if someone tries to steal your Bike - where you stand.
Watch out! I was tootling along the A358 on Saturday afternoon, when I caught up with a scooter being ridden by two chavs - in helmets, tracky bottoms and soft jackets. As I caught up with them, they started to look out for me, the rider in his mirrors, and talking to the pillion, who then began loo...

Apparently it has been cancelled for tonight. I’m not on FB but someone let me know. Some complaint about the weather!

Dunlop Sportsmarts for me, especially as my KTMs run the same size/profiles.

Re: Running
It still works in my 17-year old KTM, and may well have saved me several explorations of the carbs in my old ZZR600 during the years I was commuting on it.

Re: Running
Empty out the E10 and use it in your lawnmower if you need to. Fill the tank with fresh E5, and add a large dose of Comma Petrol Magic. Shake the bike to mix it in with the petrol, then start the bike and run sufficiently to allow the fresh mix into the float bowls. Then let the bike stand at least ...

Mobile car mechanic sought, West Somerset
Afternoon All, Do any of you know a mobile car mechanic in the Wivey / Taunton area that you would recommend? The mighty Vitara has just shed most of its Auxiliary Drive Belt, which happened when I stopped to speak to a mate on a lane this afternoon. There’s about a third of the width belt remaining...

Re: Who wants a free exhaust!
I’d be looking for a pair of generic silencers for my old Guzzi 750T (1991). Something like: - Overall length less than 500mm - To fit over a 38mm diameter downpipe - Inlet to mount distance approx 330mm - lightweight if poss - fruity sounding but not deafening. Not much then… ;) Would not be a dev...
