Eye it was an expensive weekend but thats endurance.

The team will be back at the end of the week then we have 4 days to rebuild the bikes to Short track spec and then they are off to the TT for the first time.

Our next Endurance race is Suzuka in July

Sounding like your gonna be having fun getting them fixed up to short track spec in 4 days. Especially as you have to fix the damage as well as set them up for short track.

suprised it was only 3 if it was wet as he managed that many in 1 bsb race at donny last year

It was a crash fest mate as it was so so Wet !!!!

It was truly minging out there, and it didn't help us getting texts from people back here saying it was 28 degrees
It was certainly unprecedented having a rolling start following the pace car for two laps, but it was so wet that it was probably a wise decision, the traditional le Mans start could have resulted in carnage - not that the race didn't The pace car returned for about 45 minutes before the first rotas were over - someone went down and left oil that brought down the works Kawasaki (which was seriously quick down the pit straight) and the pace cars were out whilst it was cleared up - they were using a bowser to hose the track but it ran out of water so they had to drive it away to refill it so the riders stayed behind the pace cars for 15 minutes whilst nothing was happening on track, and Damo said that the car he was following spun off the track after aquaplaning, resulting in even more muck needing cleaning up! He made a few places up in this session...
After our first stop James went out and went like the clappers, it was particularly gratifying to see him reel in the YART (Yamaha Austria) bike lap after lap and pass it down the straight for 3rd. Unfortunately he highsided off near the end of his session, but we were quickly back out after straightening left bar and footpeg and swapping the fairing, and Damo got us back up to 5th before he went down (not his fault, a front brake issue resulting from the first crash caused it), more repairs, James out again, I went to get another front brake system off the spare bike and returned to the pit to find James back in again after getting off it. Patched up once more, he went out again but by this time we were down to 21st. the leading bikes were recording laps around 1:52, and all of a sudden James banged in a 1:49 - we all thought "he's trying too hard" and within seconds were proved correct by the pit marshall telling us that he'd slung it again. Out of the points, as good as out of spares, and out of patience, Russell pulled the plug. Disappointing.
