Tomorrow's another day for staying on the sofa ... WSB and BSB
Assen MotoGP - spoiler
Assen MotoGP - spoiler
Well I watched it all the way through ... makes a change ... even though Stoner won it from early on. Have to say ... poor Nicky!!!!!! when Mamola was interviewing him afterwards he sounded like he was almost crying. CE had a great race - after he almost ground to a halt when Rossi took out de Puniet I thought he was gonna stay around 9th with JT. Shame about Hopper too
mini-me was nearly in tears this morning when she saw the replay (John was really sweet when she met him at Donington last week - so to her 8yo mind he's now a friend of hers!)

I'm glad Ducati fixed Stoners electrics, he must had been frustrated most of the season with a bike only as good as everyone elses, now its leaps and bounds better so thats good
Rossi did really well, fastest man on track alot of the time with a broken bike. I found Haydens full on racing tuck at the end very funny and yes he was in tears

Did you see the pics of the non-existent gear shift on Rossi's bike?

lets hope thats rossis bad race out the way, he cant afford to give much more away to the much miproved ducati that stoners on.
edwards rode realy well as did lorenzo, but why did jt struggle for most of the race. hayden was so funny in his racing crouch with no power, reminded me of minimoto days lol
what about the 125s,absolutely gutted for bradley smith

You'd know if you watched it on the BBC cos Suzzi Perry interviewed his managerdeej wrote:but why did jt struggle for most of the race.
Well done Stoner...yes
Poor, poor Hayden. He just keeps getting bad luck. But at least he did cross the line and 4th is good compeared to some of his other results this year. And I thought it was funny when he stuck his head on the tank as well
Well done Edwards, who personality wise is one of if not the best in the padock.
Nevermind Rossi, these things happen but I'm sure you'll blame the bike or something

Re: Assen MotoGP - spoiler
I see.
Basicaly Berdett said that the courses he knows can be worse than the ones he doesn't because he's having to change braking points etc from WSB rather thanstarting from scratch.
I don't think 9th is too bad for a rookie, look at Elias and Malandrea. (don't know if spelt right)

Re: Assen MotoGP - spoiler
but i thought they had used the "he doesnt know the track" as reasons for why he was going to be better at donny/assen etc. so im guessing he'll be right up there at sachensring in a couple of weeks time
melandri is a odd one i dont know why hes struggling as i thought he'd be fighting for the lead on the powerful duke, guess hes better on il4 than a v4,would be good to see what he could do on say nakanos bike this year
rossi did say that jt was too agressive and superbike style and needed to smooth out and stop trying too hard
quote of the weekend for me was mamola answer to julian ryder.
julian 2 randy "go jump on the 2seater and you'll score some points"
randy " nah i can do that next year when i have more time"
going to miss those two if tv rights stay as they are

Re: Assen MotoGP - spoiler
The bbc came up with the knowing the tracks excuse at donnington. Personally i think it's a crock of sh!te and a poor excuse.
I don't think excuses like that should be made at this stage, at the end of the day JT is still one of the best performing rookies this year but is maybe doing what I feared and finding his natural balance in the middle of the pack. With Colin as his team mate at least he has a great person to learn from.
Hopefully JT wont feel the pressure so much in the future and will go out to enjoy the race rather than trying to hard.

Going to put myself on the line hear and say. Even if Rossi didn't crash i think Stoner would of still won.
There was no need for Stoner to continue pushing so hence why Rossi was putting in the quick lap times and needed to.
If Stoner had Rossi in his mirrors (as to say) he would of pushed even harder and won it still.
What a great weekend of racing to. I was hammered come the end
Great to see Rutter take a win and Xaus didn't crash and take one to

Awesome weekend

Re: Assen MotoGP - spoiler
stoner was the class act and as you say mate he would have gone faster if needed no doubt about it,the race was won on thursday in free practice the same as it was at donington, fastest in all 4 sessions and then disappeared into the lead and gone.
good to see rutter get a result but a shame to see the local daddys spoilt little brat ruin the first race by getting in the way,he should be seriously fined for that
which brings me onto the question is mallory too small for bsb, i loved it as a track but im not michael rutter and he lapped jessop twice in the 2nd race which is embarrising to say the least.
