Yesterdays Pembrey Trackday pics

Post by DynaMight »

Me, Julian and Simon went upto Pembrey yesterday, Scott with the R6 and his friends were there too. I was paid a large sum of money to be the official camera man. We got there about 3:30pm the day before, they had a trackday on then too but it was empty almost, most we saw on track were about 5 bikes in the stunning sunshine. Lucky gits.

Woke up in the morning, it was dry, warm, a little cloudy but they were bright and high... then it p!ssed it down just before the briefing... :( Fast guys went out first... most of them on wets, then it was Inters with Julian & co, the brave/stupid man went out too. It was pretty wet with no dry line

After a few sessions a dry line started appearing and people were having more 'fun'

Except for Julian... who was a little lucky to save this one!

Upto when he saw this pic he kept saying he was in full control!

The pics above are what it looked like at the end of the Inters session, no more than 5 mins later its got VERY cloudy and looks like this:

Hence a massive rain storm and we're back to square one, if not worse than before :( no-one goes out next session and we just moap around, then its lunch time. Clouds clear and we're blessed with clear blue skies. Didnt take long to dry and we have this:

At this stage you may notice theres no pictures of Simon... Oh look heres one now the sun is out!! 8)

Julian has a disagreement with the tarmac and decides to teach it a lesson. I think he lost... look he's given up

R&G did a good job.

This guy in the Fast group went from this:

Fun couple of days away. Weather turned out good in the end, but always knew it would.

Had some good sessions on track. Wet was a bit scary, dry line was a bit scary, and had some scary moments in the dry too. 8)

thought I was lucky to save the slide, especially as my foot was on fire!! ( another great pic gav ) .

R & g ‘s are brilliant for when your not so lucky.

Dynamite is a seriously good photographer, but needs to practise his( tent) erecting skills

I am a fair-weather rider and hate the wet, and so does billno8ates!!!! :D

Playing football and 1 handed catch ( no really ) for one and half hours, in the heat, is ideal preparation for a track day,

Until the next time………………………. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah I got some of him. He was sharing his bike with someone so wasn't sure if it was him or his mate. For some reason he left quite early even though it was dry, I think everyone stayed right to the end to get the most of the dry track.

Great pics and that rain dance i did paid off   But obviously i didn't do it long enough

Teach Simon sending me cheeky texts on how they were nearly there and all rairing to go

Pembrey on the other hand is a mega grippy circuit in the wet so there was no need to wait till it dried Simon.

Julian that looked like a mega LUCKY save mate and what a pic to stick on your wall

I want one of them of me doing the same, and then tell the tale of how i was in full control

Glad you all had a great time
