Bikeshow southwest 23rd/24th August

Post by jam »

Hi everyone, I've not been on for a while because of various things going on in my life. But now I'm back.
Is anyone going to the Bikeshow Southwest at Westpoint Exeter over bank holiday weekend?
I'll be down there both days as I've got a couple of bikes in the show and I'll be outside with my Dyno truck again this year, so if anyone's down there pop over and introduce yourselves. Hopefully the weather will be better than the Bulldog Bash wash, as dynoing wet bikes is very messy, as everything on the rear tyre ends up on the ceiling of the truck. Hope to see some of you there.

Allsorts really m8, havent been for years but got the urge to sort my gear out a few weeks ago and i got myself an Exeter book as it has rivers as well rather than Newton Abbot which is pretty much ponds/lakes, fished the weirfield at Marsh barton on the Exe a couple of weeks ago, plenty of fish but all small stuff apart from the four Pike that took a liking to the roach i was reeling in.......... :D

Sure thing m8, if we ever get any decent weather, forgot how much fishing costs, i had to cough up £70 to replace my reel lines and get some new stuff for hooklengths and a few other bits and bobs, better hide that one on the barclaycard bill :D :D :D

Normal prices are, £20 per run which gives you horsepower, top speed and also the fuel air graph so you can see how your bike is actually fuelling and whether it needs any adjustment. Torque is a little harder on show events as it requires fairings to be removed to access a point on the HT lead or better the Low Tension side of the coils to take an inductive feed for the RPM signal, which due to time constraints isn't always an option at the shows/dealer days, unless you happen to have a naked bike with easily accessable coils.

For SWB members I'll be doing runs for £15 instead of £20, but you will need to show me that you are indeed a member of the forum, how you do this is upto you, but I would suggest printing off this page and bringing it with you as a form of voucher, which you can hand in to me to get your discounted run.
This is about the fairest way of doing things and avoids the potential of others overhearing members discussing it at the dyno and trying to blag a cheap run for themselves by pretending to be SWB forum members.

Hopefully the weather gods will smile on us all this weekend, I myself have been chanting and sacrificing tender virgin chickens by the first light of the dawn, in an effort to appease the weather gods, ( and more importantly, it scares the living shit out of the jehovahs vegetarians next door)

I hope to see a good crowd of you there providing you can tear yourselves away from the adrenalin rush inducing sport of fishing, yaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!! Anymore excitement and I'll lapse into a coma

Anyone fancy meeting up and riding down on sunday?

I'll defo have a dyno run because the fuelling on ym new K4 is shite and i want to know if it's the fuelling or the cylinder.
