So as the UK C' virus reg's stand as of today, we have a max' group of six allowed in England from Monday 14th Sept' and we have at total of 11 riders booked.
For the ride to the Chepstow meet, how about this:
These six leave from Wellington.
ptolemyx
royb
Ming
Red5
Andy S'
Chr1s
These four leave from Bridgwater.
Robbo87 (I know where the Spar car park is at Chepstow

)
BkingAlan
Woo636
Tvrv37
Direct to Chepstow.
Kata
. . . . . or any combination from the above Wellie/ Bridgie as long as there's a max' of six?

Or just leave in groups of 6 from the same place but 5 minutes apart. Agree not to go over 80 and we should all be in Chepstow within 5 minutes of each other.
I think even without a satnav I should be able to find Chepstow if we get split up

I will decide what we're doing nearer the day. Not just the rule of 6 in Engerland but also what we should do in Wales on the weekend in question and what areas of south and mid Wales are hotspots to be avoided. I want the weekend to be in the spirit of doing the right thing and not what can we get away with. If groups of 6 are best for public health in England I will also apply that in Wales. The Neuadd will have measures in place to maximise our and their safety.

I'll be off the grid from this Saturday 12th to next Saturday 19th. Sunday 20th we'll have a better idea of the likely situation for the 25-27 weekend. Let's have a discussion and make plans then. Of course, things could still change after that but we'll cope regardless.
P.S. I am aware of the changes to the usual road from Chepstow to Usk, It was a pain in the car, let alone on a bike last time. I am cosidering the B4293 and Raglan for Abergavenny and beyond.....This is the directish route, but if the weather is fine and we're up for it there are more adventurous roads available.....

Let's hope the Welsh don't get too draconian then

Just watched the prof's on the box and assuming the rules stay the same for the weekend I'd like us to all meet on Friday (other than Kata, who'll probably join us in Chepstow) at the Shell petrol station, A38 W Buckland Rd, Wellington TA21 9AD - grid ref' 50.980149,-3.205155 for 12.00 and 12.15 leaving times.

Two groups to ride up and regroup 2.00p.m. at Chepstow Spar car park, St Lawrence Rd, Chepstow NP16 6BE - grid ref' 51.646199,-2.690497.

The M48 old Severn Bridge is scheduled to be closed Eastbound all weekend so we should be okay to cross in to Wales Friday.
The boring M5 route is:-

IF we need to use the new bridge turn round at Magor, making the Chepstow Spar eta 2.30p.m.:-

Checked with the Neuadd, they're all geared up for us. Masks to reception and in public areas other than bar and dining room. We'll not be dining at one big table, but close enough that you can hurl abuse at me. Rooms are 48 hours quarantined and deep cleaned between guests. They might then be able to get rid if Phil's fart odour and the smell of my Old Spice before the next occupants

Brian, will you be checking the M48 old Severn bridge crossing availability and advise the confirmed route on Friday?

Phil, see my post above. As far as I can make out the old bridge will be open in to Wales. If not we'll use the old bridge and turn round for Chepstow at Magor, jcn23A to still regroup at Chepstow Spar, allbeit a little later. Said detour is usually signposted if the old bridge is shut.
