post it up - Id really like to see it - im a great believer in studying vids before you get there.

I was looking for some good footage but the only bike footage I could find of llandow trawling you tube was devon IAM hiring it out for a day. which has to be the worst bike riding I have ever seen. (I posted it on the IAM thread for comedy value.)

agree with you completely on that one, i do have a clip somewhere of guys riding to llandow like idiots then riding around it and home again, think it even shows a instructor crashing in the clip

if your a quick road rider the novice group will be to slow for you - the pace is considerably slower than a fast road pace. if you think you can adjust to the inters go with that - you will adjust your game to those around you and their riding will be way more predictable. you will improve your riding way quicker.

I would say only go novice if you have only been riding a year or two or if your real nervous.

There was nothing wrong with the Novice last year, I did 2 sessions at the end of the day and everyone kept a good line, no-one was unpredictable.

I think theres a bigish overlap anyway, there were people in the fast group last year who would had been better set in the novice and people in the novice who would had held their own in the fast group. Inters are the same too.

All the crashes last year were in the fast group, I dont think there has never been one in the novice. Its a safe group with a mostly good pace, besides I'm sure it'll be fun for the fast riders to overtake everyone.

your probably right Dynamight... my slanted view on it is possibly best ignored.

Its just that I was watching the novice group at rockingham (one of my friends was in it) and it was red flag city - way more than the inters or fast...I guess it just depends on who puts themselves in what group on the day.

yeh well i have only been riding 1 and a bit years now, but on the road, just as quick as my dad and his mates who are comfortably quick in the inters, maybe its my youthful fearlessness :P , i think its just the fact that im new to track days so would prefer not to get pressured too much and maybe feed my ego later in the day

thanks for the advice though

Jason are you going to be available for some feedback/pointers after each session? I loved blatting around the track last year but am going to try to use this year to

1. Finally get my knee down
2. Try and build more confidence into my off of the straight for The Bus Stop, last year i felt i was off the gas and on the brakes to early, that was until i missed the corner altogether cause the brakes would not stop me

Age was pretty good last year taking the yellow vest for the Inters you could follow him and pick his lines up (for about 2 corners!!!!) and then 2 laps later he would be behind you again, where the nutter was zipping about so much and lapping everyone, to have a look at your lines.

yeh no prob ill be available for feedback or pointers anytime - just ask, my riding certainly aint perfect, far from it, but I can give pointers on stuff like body positioning, and lines, or assist in getting that knee down if anyone wants.
