I'd like it known that the old (un)faithfull has now managed TWO rideouts in a row without anything falling off, melting, misfiring or otherwise acting up - that goes for the Fut too.
As proof of this, and to preserve some evidence for posterity, I've now filed the above pic' plus a full write up and signed witness statements in the family album under 'Unusual events'.

The disease has transferred to my Ducati. The instrument panel has gone phut. Negotiations ongoing with Ducati Italy to see if they will chip in for a replacement. (£600 for the unit, £100 for the diagnostics, £200 for fitting and data transfer).
Still, on the bright side everything else still works and I have high hopes that it is not about to throw off its body panels like a Buckaroo or burst into flames.
Hopefully all will be fixed in time to shatter the peace chasing the Fut around the west country when the sun starts to shine.
