So seeing as I mentioned it in a previous post.... this is my latest acquisition...

Apologies for the blurry photo as I was in a rush! Bargain of the year I think though.

It's a hornet with allegedly a gas flowed head, a full 2008 R6 front end with a Brembo 19x20 radial master cylinder. Ohlins rear shock, Ohlins side mount steering damper, SES rear sets and a small box of goodies including nearly new tyre warmers, some spares for the rearsets, paddock stands etc.
Also has wets on wheels although the wets are 10+ years old so need changing, but he also threw in an engine, a frame with standard forks on AND a generator for powering the aforementioned warmers.... All for less than £900!
Reckon you'll have some fun with that - had a mate years ago raced in the Hornet Cup, proper good laugh! :)

Or are you buying someone else's problems??

Fingers crossed it's the first.
There is a chance of that but isn't there always unless you buy brand new? And even then there is no guarantees... I've helped track prep a brand new Ducati 959 and that didn't fill me with confidence of their build quality!

Even if it is plagued with problems the Ohlins shock, the R6 front end, the radial brembo 19x20 will all net the majority of the cost back. In fact I have already sold tyre warmers so it owes me less anyway!

Judging the guy on the hour I was there I think it could be a good deal with a little bit of tidying and fettling. i.e. service and clean up and spanner check
