The GS500 is good for building confidence but it does feel like its lacking something.. i guess you get what you pay for, Also the GS500 doesnt like restrictor kits, wont do over 70 with them in.

The RS125 is a beautifull bike capable of doing a hell of a lot corner wise and will teach you a lot about riding.... Good to build your no claims up for a bit too.

This site might be handy
http://www.batmotorcycles.co.uk/33bhp.asp
it has a list of bikes already 33bhp or less and a list of bikes which have restriction kits available.

the top end is 110 according to suzuki, but i still imagine a restricted gs 500 would do more than 70. obviously depends in what condition + year. He did have an 03 model.

okay.. maybe 75 max with the restrictors but it takes forever toget there and they will push 115 without them but again.. takes forever.

Yeah they do as i said with the gps the clocks will show 115 but it is more like 95-100.. remember 70mph on the clock with a gs is 62mph from there on its [Censored]

Well done Lee for telling the world you ride un-restricted when your meant to be. Wise, very wise. Especially when you dont know who reads this.
But mate, if you ride now, I would just buy a bike you like and can afford, check insurance, and then check if you can get it restricted. And it will be awesome, just riding a bike is awesome.

Its doesnt matter who reads this.. unless people rip apart the bike they will never know it isnt.. and who here knows what my bike looks like now.. as its off the road and now has different coloured panels, no one knows my address, real name or registration..

...
Everyone should be legal.. but ride at 33bhp... I couldnt do it, not after riding full power for a year and a half.. not long to go and wont have to worry about restrictors ever again..
