Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Exeter, Newton Pop, Sidford, Colyford, Lyme Regis, round and round Charmouth roundabout 8) you can chose to go through Carmouth or down the bypass, Bridport, West bay.

Or do the old A30 which takes you back onto the new A30 just before Honiton, then Hnoiton, Axminster, get on the bypass towards Bridport, round and round Charmouth roundabout 8) , Bridport, West bay.

Or if you want a long one, old A30 which takes you back onto the new A30 just before Honiton, then Hnoiton, Axminster, Chard, Crewkerne, passed Taylors, Bridport, Westbay.

Have fun and go carefull :D

Only problem if you go on the A30 through Chard and Crewkerne to get too westbay is that the road that goes from Misterton through Beaminster toward Bridport is a bit crap due to a lot of cars going slowly. Though saying that, I usually hoon on the B3162 From Bridport back to Chard anyway, much better road. ;)

Me and the mrs went down today (Spawny wossed out  ). Saw quite a lot of bikes including an old six pot Honda and a yellow bike covered in M&Ms 8) an old blade I think.

Weather held off and the roads were dry in most places. :D

it has a whole selection of cafes/tea huts for a variety of yummy foods n drinks. has been a popular meeting place/stop off for bikers for over 40 years.

westbay itself is a dead end, the road goes nowhere. getting there is half the fun, getting home is the other half. the beaminster road that jonb mentioned is good fun if u get a clear run and the tunnel is always good for that childish over-rev with the clutch in (specially if there is a convertable in front).

You could always take the coast road to weymouth via portasham(a fave run of mine) great run, top views too.

all in all, its not the destination, its the round journey u take to get there. personally i have been going to westbay for nearly 15 years, its just one of those places that you are always welcome on the bike - a rarity these days.

mmmmmmm westbay burger and a mug of tea please frenchie

Ah yes frenchie. Try his kangaroo or boare burgers.

As for the Beaminster road, that's our test road at work. Normally turn around just before the tunnel but if on a real nice sales bike then go down to Beaminster.

After the tunnel (on way to Beaminster) the next right corner is where I rolled my mrs' corsa

I go up and down the tunnel a lot, usually just turn the bike around and do it again. Good times.
