Scala / Schuberth Intercom?

I have an option on a second hand Schuberth Scala intercom for my helmet. I'd like to try it before I buy it and splash out on another for the Mrs .... but I can't try out the connection because I don't know anyone else who has one.
Does anyone on here? I'm wondering if we can meet-up on a ride-out to "connect"

Evening Dave, most bluetooth intercoms will pair with each other no matter what make.

Hmm.. Well my eBay "BT intercom" wouldn't pair with Claire's Caberg branded intercom though it has paired with other similar versions of "BT intercom".

Correct, most will pair with others but only at a basic Bluetooth level which would be a very limited range and you wouldn’t have the normal capabilities of the headsets that could properly pair up. To get a true picture Dave you need to find someone with the same unit.

Ok well I’ll try pairing it with the cheap and cheerful Interphone that she has already. If it works with that then happy days as I won’t have to shell out on a Scala for her. She doesn’t need all the advanced phone/music features or bike to bike anyways

I've got a scala freecom unit and it does pair with other makes. They are good units, though sometimes lose connection. Much better than sena units that are shit in wet weather, and yes I did have a sena unit but binned it after 1 winters use.

It's the evil thoughts that are more worrying.
