Hi All.

I have just booked to go to Bedford track day with no limits.

This is a fantastic track and very under rated. If you have not been its an airfield track, very open and flowing with a long back straight. It has pitt garages but power is not great so normally recommend bringing your own genorator (ifyour bringing your own bike)

Would really recommend......

Check out this video from several years back if you would like to see what the track is like. https://youtu.be/dBvfo0XlIBU

Also I am hiring a track bike from Small Boys Track Bikes. Normally they do not go to Bedford but after years of me nagging the owner he is putting a date in to see what type of interest that they get for the day. Would be really great if one of you guys were up for joining me and even better if you wanted to give a hire bike a go. check out the web site
https://www.smallboytrackbikes.co.uk/

If you are interested then ring up, ask to speak with Matt and let him know that I (Rob Menzies) had suggested you call. He is looking at maybe supporting 2 track days on the same day depending on numbers but any recomendations that come in from me he is giving priorty to make sure you get a bike and it is not taken to the other track day.

Enjoy people this one will be a good one :-bd B-) :D

The back straight is a long one but the rest of the track is sweeping a twisty. Actually quite a fast flowing track your right. Persaonlly I have stuck to the Ninja 636 for the day as I know that will top out at about 140 / 150mph on the back straight and thats quick enough for me. I could have gone for the GSXR 1000 and joined to 200mph club but truthfully going quick in a straight line is not of much interest the bit I enjoy is trying to carry speed around the flowing bends and thats actually more fun on the 600's as I worry less about possible high sides driving out of corners.

Also helps the 600 is cheaper \:D/

You wouldnt get 200mph on the back straight. 185-190 possible if you rinse the nuts properly.
Does seem a tempting though rob.

Ian come join me, track is great and hiring a bike is so easy its scary. Lug your leathers, boots, gloves and helmet in the back of the car with a bit of grub and water for the day, drive to the track and a bike is there waiting for you with its own pitt crew who do everything for you. get to the end of the day (no packing up) just get changed and drive home. Its bloody ace.

Jay do it, Although its flay it's a great track very fast and flowing, with pit garages and if you fancy it could even hire a bike with me if you didn't want to take your own.
