Snow foam?

Never used any snow foams for car or bike. I know a few of you use it on the bikes.
Anyone have any experience of which brands or types are good to use or avoid?

Yeah I use it mate. I bought some from Jennychem, along with a snow foam lance for my Karcher jet washer.

Works well, but it does spray everywhere, so mind where you point that lance! TBH I also use Rhino Goo in a garden sprayer to go over the bike, then jet wash it off. It's fantastic stuff - use it on my eMTB as well as it doesn't need a powerful jet washer to shift the dirt - a normal hose will do.

Spray bottle for the Rhino Goo, as I use that on the mtb so it's easier to direct it. I have a separate bottle that takes the diluted snow foam and has an attachment to fix it to the jet wash, instead of the power nozzle. It's adjustable for spread and ratio of water /foam.

Rinsed the bike first, used the foam (plastered it with foam actually) , waited a bit then rinsed the bike off.

Still seemed to have loads of dirt on it.. two buckets and normal cleaner seems more effective.

Is there a trick to it?

Snow foam on it's own won't clean a vehicle perfectly. It's purpose is to loosen any contaminates and once rinsed off gives you less gunk on the bike/car so when you then get the buckets and shampoo out there's less chance of rubbing dirt into the paint, causing scratches.

I must admit I have been tempted to get a snow foam setup but have so far resisted it as I don't use the pressure washer on my road bikes.

From what I have read online it works better with snow foam first on a dry vehicle as it will then stay on for longer and be more concentrated (it will drip off slower and drag the dirt more).

I think snow foam might be pretty good at softening the dried on bug bodies.
Right now I just put a cloth on my screen, wet that and leave there for a few minutes before attempting to wash the bugs off.

How do they get on there? Land and die?
Last I heard bikes had to leave the garage to get bugs splatted on them.

I have some demon snow foam
Something was wrong with the applicator so did not work.
I have my own hose and brush so still use it but got to say that i don't find that it works very well. My new bike is a total git to wash more nooks and crannies then you can shake a stick at, I am finding:-
I start with the snow foam,
then go over with a bucket and brush and sponge,
then wash it off and leave it to air dry for 5 minutes,
then go back over all the bits in missed,
then wash off again,
then shammy dry,
(if chain needs doing then clean and then respray
then spray the bike with protector
then use a towel to finish of a wipe down.

think cleaning the bike actually takes more time then going on the ride outs
