Not sure I can make this one Brian (will confirm later) but be aware that Google maps show South Street in Hatherleigh as closed until early September. Others, i.e. one.network, say 'Works completed in June'. Devon Highways don't mention it either.

Phil, route altered to avoid the grotty lanes from Jonesey's to Hatherleigh so miss South Street.

Six brave souls exposed themselves and their bikes to the awful weather today. Found some loverly "green lanes" as shortcuts

Hopefully keep to the normal roads in future

Thanks to Brian for organising and leading today's rideout. Yep, the weather was carp, we must've seen at least three clouds - I'm surprised Jug didn't get his waterproofs out. Despite spending the day with no indicators, horn, main beam or starter, the old (s)trumpet managed to keep up with the other grey ones, got me around the route and got me home. Now to find the common electrical denominator that caused all that - it also blew the 10 amp fuse that was probably protecting the circuit that's at fault.
Thanks also due to Art for the loan of his standby ignition key. Apparently it also doubles as a pair of pliers.
For info', it appears that our Ptolemyx is a closet grasstrack fan. Seems he needed to get some mid-season practise in

.

Thanks for the ride out Brian.
Was a nice chilled ride with a couple of blasts in just to keep the injectors clear.
Great weather & great company, until the next one guys.
