Rough plan - will be leaving Chard early afternoon and doing a Dorset loop that will have us end up at the Rainbow Garage cafe in time for their bi-weekly bike meet, which starts around 17:30-18:00.
Cafe address is East Knighton, Dorchester DT2 8LF.

Anyone fancy it?

Well it's after ten so you really should think about getting dressed.

Yeh, that should be fine. Will likely be a 14:00 set off but need to sort the route to be sure.

Bear in mind that's the Friday of the bank holiday weekend. Main roads will be rammed with grockles- eek

This is the route I'm thinking of doing, takes in some good roads whilst staying as away from traffic as much as is reasonable.
Can stay even further away from traffic & holiday parks but then we'll only ride boring roads or tight country lanes... so I guess we'll just have to hope the bank holiday traffic gods are with us.
Meeting across from the Tesco filling station in Chard at 14:00 should be fine.
Drink & pee break at the cafe over looking Weymouth bay roughly 15:30, should get the Bike meet at 17:30'ish.

Any chance you can post this route up as a Google maps link?
Belay that last request, I've figured out how to access the above map - here's the link to it:
https://www.southwestbikers.com/downloa ... hp?id=5554 . . . . . see you at Chard Tesco petrol station - TA20 2LW for anyone who needs it.
