I good section of discussion between 35:40 to 40:40. Where they are discussing tyre operating temperature and the use of tyre warmers for road tyres. I think this helps a lot to highlight the importance of having the right tyre for the riding that your doing. Don't get me wrong if your a novice rider and your off to a track day which is the the first 5 times you have ever done so and your getting used to being on track and taking things at a conservative pace then it would seem that your ok on a road tyre. But as discussed if you are pushing the tyre on track and building up the speed and the heat then road tyres are just not made for this and you need to move tot a track trye.
If you are using a road tyre then no need for tyre warmers but also make sure that your not getting your tyres to hot whilst if you are on a track tyre then tyre warmers are a good idea as the tyre is then kept in is designed range of use.
Interesting discussion thanks for sharing.

I found the most interesting bit was when they discussed the right temperature for the warmers is dependent on the tyre type. Might be old news for regular trackies but reducing the temperature for road tyres isn't something i knew before.
Cheers!

My Tyre warmers actually have 3 settings specifically for this.
Low = 60 deg for road tyres
Medium = 80 deg for track tyres
high = 90 deg for slick race tyres
Important that you have them on the right setting for the right tyre

So they have a snow setting?
Sounds like a good set you have there. What make are they?
Cheers
