In view of what's happened, I'd like to ask all of you who can, to consider taking a First-Aid/Basic life support course...The security of knowing you can make a difference if needed, is well worth the effort.
Give it some thought eh ??

I organised one of these nights at Tiverton this year, cost £7.50 per head, whats £7.50 now to anyone, nothing.

Worth every penny.

Its theres interest, I'll sort another session with the chap, he is full time paramedic, with Tivierton Amb Crew.

I have a first aid certificate so I know that given the situation I can scream like a girl and panic the loudest

Not really Mark, been doing organisation stuff now for to long, and after 14 years in the forces with 72 qualified courses under me belt, there not a lot I cant organise.

Yeah I'm a first aider through work, wouldnt say I knew it all though, but I guess its not something you can really practice day to day if your not in the medical trade, but I think I react well to bad situation and dont panick to much which helps alot.

Worry like f*ck afterwards though

But hopefully through work i am doing a better first aid course, like a week one instead of a day one. Which will be good.

I had to do an indepth first aid course for my SIA licencse. Very good indeed.
BUT ask me if I would give first aid ? and I would say only to a friend that I know well.
This may sound off but the reason is and this is from experiance.
If you give first aid you open your self up to being sued. Even if you do everything correct.

The outcome of the experiance was good but only due to having very good CCTV and lots of witnesess.

Having saying that if I was faced with a situation I would probably forget all and help.
