Is it just me?

Or has the quality of posting on this site hit absolute rock bottom?
Or should I say the quality of some original posts is utterly pathetic, the replies are even more hopeless, and topics which have promise are quickly derailed by replies which clearly have not gone through the full thought process.
The recent post 'Out on your ego props this afternoon' is a good example. The original post made a reasonable enough point, dick wavers are out as soon as it gets sunny, perhaps they ought to apply some anticipation skills to their riding, meaning anticipate the reactions of other road users to their heroic progress. Didn't take long for the silly replies did it?
That was just one example.
Braced for backlash.
Greg.

Im not taking anyones side here but everyones "hopeless & pathetic" replies to the said message aren't exactly uncalled for, i mean who the hell is anyone to go and start a thread brandishing a community of bikers "dildos or toss pots" I think its just plain rude. If you want to be offensive keep your thoughts to yourself - you don't post up stuff like that unless you actually WANT retaliation. There are some fair comments being made, but lets not go about dissing other people because they don't do it exactly how you'd like them to. The worlds not a perfect place!
Just in case you missed the fjr post, here it is again:::
There were some right sad sportsbike poseurs out there today. You may think your are being funny and blasting past other bikes with a few inches spare. But you are not.
Other road users may not see you coming.
Some of you really need to grow up....
...and learn to filter - you looked right sad sitting there while I went past you in the traffic.

offensive? I think so

Good idea Age. and probably what I should have done instead of what I did, which was to deliberately stir up the natives. I am on the case. Thinking.......... thinkng..........thinking............ no nothing yet.
Hang on, no its gone. I shall go and have a fry up at the Haldon Grill for inspiration.

Sorry Jenks, but I don't see anything offensive in any of that, just straightforward reporting of some dumbass behaviour, and if anyone on the site thinks it applies directly to them, which is not an accusation that FJS guy made, then it is that persons problem if they find being pointed out as the wallies they are offensive. No names were mentioned or hinted at, though some do protest too much............

Greg, consider the individual instigating that thread read his previous posts - re read that thread. Id say he got more sensible replies than he deserved.

Note the words in bold. Seems
some of you need to learn how to read as well as how to ride safely.
FJS was not getting at all sports bike riders, just a small minority who have no clue how to ride.

personally i think the offence has come from these words.
there's that old saying, "it's not what you say, but the way you say it"

I see what you mean. T'would perhaps have been better with 'they' instead of 'you' - unless FJS has reason to believe that the said bikers are members of this forum
