Should MotoGP follow F1 & ban driver aids?

As the title says ........

F1 certainly seems to have benefitted from the common ECU/no traction control rules ...... how much would bikes benefit from following suit :?

Traction control is not just about stopping the back end stepping out, but also impacts tyre wear - more critical on bikes than cars

I think it's much "purer" when it's about the driver/rider controlling the beast rather than relying on electronics ..........

YES

Take us in world endurance our budget is around £100k and a good traction control system and the expert to go with it would cost us abot the same !

I miss the power slides, I remember watching JT at valencia sliding it around the next to last corner how I miss that.

I agree, take all the electrickery out and make it more dependant upon the rider's skill - the 880cc MotoGP bikes are almost uncrashable now, when the tyres get worn or when a wet track dries out and the wets fall to bits it doesn't matter, the traction control just lets 'em keep it pinned...
I tried watching the F1 snoozefest repeat this afternoon - boring and predictable mostly, though when I woke up and saw the big wipeout by the Toyota it was pretty spectacular... I wonder how many genuine overtakes there were in the entire race? Maybe about as many as there were in a lap of the 125GP last weekend?

Yes dump it. The only advantage of these aids on race bikes is that it filters down to everyday bikes, be it tourers or sports bike, you get my drift. But from a spectators point of view, dump it. Would also improve racing as the teams on a smaller budget might supprise a few peeps.
