hi colin. i had 3 of em in bits in the early 90s and so built one good one and unfortunately gave the rest away. they are brilliant bikes with a huge amount of torque for an old bike. lovely to ride but quite thirsty. i think a 76 would be an L or and M model but i cant remember. very little goes wrong realy just usual 2str stuff like always use top grade plugs like platinum or iridium, use the best 2st oil and look out for any black smoke after start up or oil in the water, the clutch can be very snatchy if not set up correctly. other than that just buy off the buyer, if you like him do if not don't, always worked for me so far
good luck dear boy
