I have no mechanical knowledge and need some advice , basically as the title suggests my indicators do not work and i dont know what the issue is or how to resolve it. Can anyone give me any help as to what i need to check etc?

Dunno if its any help, but mine stopped working recently, and i took the fuse out to check it, gve it a little wipe on the metal bits, and hey presto, indicators worked again!
Has the bike been kept outside? Might be worth spraying a load of WD40 in the switchgear and see if that sorts it!

I replaced all my fuses yesterday and the bike is stored inside the garage and rarely is it stood in wet weather.

Would spraying the switch gear with WD40 really resolve the issue? as the there is no clicking noise either.

I would not use WD40.

Do you have an alarm. If yes does it flash the cators.

If you have and it does the problem could be relay or handle bar switch.

If you can find the relay bridge the poles that come from the switch. If they work its the switch if they don't its the relay.

And not all relays click these day.

Good luck.

my better half had this problem with her 400. I took the switch ggear apart and had to get surface corrosion off the copper switch contacts. Did that, applied a little vaseline and its worked ever since.

the copper contacts are inside the switch gear on the reverse part of the actual switch. Be careful not to loose the small spring and ball bearing in it.

Have you not got a volt meter or 12v probe.

Even a 12v bulb with 2 wires soldered to it.
