Anyone had any experience with aftermarket fairing kits? Smashed my GSXR1000 up and require fairing replacement without being ripped off by suzuki. Any ideas??? cheers

as he got a Fairing set for his SP2 from china / Hong Kong.

Yeah I had a full set on my SP1. Cost about £280ish (I ordered from eBay USA as the currency conversion rate from USD>UK>Chinky cash worked out cheaper!)

I went about fitting them, didnt encounter too many issues. Had to enlarge a few bolt holes, but thankfully all the major bolt holes around the headlights etc were spot on. Nothing was kinked/forced into place so I never had any issues with lugs snapping etc.

I think quality control can be an issue, a non-essential part didnt fit at all, but was quickly replaced for free.

The paint finish was good, slight imperfection on one area of the side panel where it was packed too quickly after painting leaving some bubble wrap marks! Also be careful when fitting because the paint is still fresh so can flake around the bolt holes. Spunky on here has recently bought a set for his GSXR600, which has some poorly fitting decals, also the head light lugs were not the same as the original.


The bottom line is, dont expect original equipment quality and fitment, but do expect them to fit after some slight adjustments. I would buy another set.

I bought chinky from DHgate.com which is a wholesale site and cheaper than ebay. As with Gavin 280ish.

Again not too many fitment problems apart from the lugs which i had to modify. But you get what you pay for.
