Hi all,

Looking for a place to respray my old SR 250 SE (1981) tank and side covers
can anyone recommend a place

I also want to get some chroming done (front mudguard) and last but least the frame shot blasted and powdercoated.

Any recommendations (apart from the scrap yard)

Not too sure about the paint work, though there is a mass of places & you should find somewhere pretty local.

Lo SR250SE, had one of those for years! did about 30,000 miles on it. last saw it totally f***** in a breakers 16 years after I sold it. Nice bike 80-90mpg but lacks a little omph.

Probably find it cheeper to buy new mudguard wich are atill avaliable than to rechrome.

Dont know about blasting/coating in bristol area but most do door to door delivery these days included in the price.
Pick up a copy of classsic and motorcycle mechanics for £3.20 which always has adverts for companies.
Respray should be easy as painwork is plain any body shop should be able to do it.

sorry to double post but though better tell you, black box for cdi unit under tank is weak spot in the wet and can cause loss of spark, keep it well sprayed with wd40 or silocon spray to keep the water off

Have never used these but I am looking to get some aluminium polished and possibly plated during the winter.
They are advertised with Plymouth Motorcycle Club and going by the comments on the web site they seem to do a good job.
They are based in Plymouth by the way.
