Hi :)

From Portsmouth you have the new forest heading westwards or the A272 and the coast road heading Eastwards.
As far as Dorset goes, around the isle of purbeck is nice :)

aha.......!

Chesil road from Weymouth over towards Bridport is lovely, scenic and has Westbay on the end of it....apple cake anyone?

A37 out of Dorchester take the road off to Frampton is pretty nice too.....gets you into Somerset but as long as you've had your jabs, all is well...

...or, the road that runs parallel to the A350 north from Blandford is ace! Gets you to Compton Abbas airfield, where sure enough, they do awesome cake......

Post it up if you're heading out for a bimble as we say, if you want company that is.. :)):

Hi Ellen
welcome and hope all is well
here's some sweet roads through the Forest http://goo.gl/maps/pSEdn" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it ends at Holmsley tea rooms for some refreshments, there are lots of fun roads round here, Cranborne chase , zigzag hill , Compton Abbas airfield is good for tea too,
drop us a line if you would like some more ideas
Cheers
Andy
It's good to have an end to journey towards but it's the journey that matters in the end.
