anyone into rc toys?

Post by Ruffian »

After being out of rc for 10years since my last one I thought It would be fun to get another one,
Popped along to my local model shop and found out all my gear is massively outdated,

After looking around I noticed lots are going to 1/18 scale,
So thought one would be worth playing with.

£60 for a complete ready to run package
(Needed 4 aa batterys for the handset)

And I am really impressed with it, quick and simple and cheap.
I have bought another for a Christmas presents for my nephew to race against,

Its called the "ripmax jackal"
Just though I would share as its something to kill some time over the winter!

I used to be really into the offroad buggies etc, then bought a tamiya kit a few years ago and made it into a RC drift car, locked diff and drift tyres etc.

Now have just finished rebuilding my quadcopter, after a spectacular crash resulting in the last airframe being destroyed!

I did see his name on the trccc site,
Thought it was just coincidence though,

You say local club, but thats still wellington from exeter!
Only because the council built a skate park where the exeter rc track was. :(

I used to race my 1/10 up trccc and exeter 10years ago,
But it can get expensive quite quickly,

Im just more for fun now.
