As there are no stupid questions, this is obviously not one :D

What is the purpose of the longer of the steel coloured pins on this stand?

I am thinking it is for stopping the wheel turning, is that correct?

Secondly, has anyone any experience of the Monntek paddock stand?

Unless you've got a 125/250, I wouldn't go for something as flimsy looking as that first one ...... though I guess you're right about the purpose of the second bar. I certainly wouldn't rely on that for holding the wheel to undo the wheel nut though (not without damaging the coating, anyway).

Unfortunately I can't see the second stand as my work laptop doesn't have flash-player .....

Thanks for reply. :-bd
The Monntek video shows it fitted to a Ducati 998. It looks as if it will do the job well but it seems to be a cheap price in comparison to others ( excluding the first one I exampled).

If anyone has tried the MonnTek I would be grateful for their thoughts.
