Family days out
As some of you may know my wife absolutely hates my bike! It's dawned on me that there must be guys and gals out there that have spouses who also hate bikes as much as my wife?!
That in mind maybe a day out can be organised where the mention of bikes is banned! A day out for simply families so the the better halves get to meet other better halves without having to hear about bikes!
Somewhere like legoland or crealy.
Thoughts much appreciated

I was thinking of absolutely anybody whose up for it! Husbands, wives , sons & daughters. Meet up, have fun and get to know the faces and families we only normally hear about!
Just an idea at the moment but open to any suggestions!

That's a fab idea! Not sure the topic of bikes would be completely avoided though, its what we all have in common! Moosey + Si had a dog walkies day once

Re: Family days out
Great idea... Just a case of where and what. Day out for the whole family?? has to be somewhere totally bike unrelated? hmm,
How many other halves, or even just members would be up for travelling far away from base for this. I know some of us love it but how about a bit of a family camp at River Dart Country Park, or Woodlands, Or do Crealy do camping?? A holiday park some where for a weekend with cabins??
Or PUB's always a one size fits all(most in any case)

Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..
Re: Family days out
erm can we ride the bike to the non bike talking meet up
theres no chance a bunch of bikers could meet up and not mention bikes or something bike related , as mentioned I rekon a large park area for BBQ , football cricket ect I may try get down for it if it happens

This sounds like a good idea, I am trying to get a bit of camping etc in with the family this year, if we could get a reasonable bunch together would be a laugh.Red5 wrote:Great idea... Just a case of where and what. Day out for the whole family?? has to be somewhere totally bike unrelated? hmm,

Was there not a BBQ type event for SWB last year at a field in Mark?

Double Locks, Exeter (there's even a canal into which we can throw children for amusement ....... )
Turf Lock, Powderham (as above, plus a river, but involves a walk to get to)
Fingle Bridge, Drewsteignton (nice, safe, river adjacent for kids to play in and large open spaces to run around in)
