Hi peeps

Names phil from Exeter. Passed test just over 2 years ago with jed from 2 wheel training (top bloke)

Had a 97 zx6r for a few years which I built up from pieces rode it for a few months and sold it to my mate.

Currently ride a k5 1000 gixxer with less that 7k on the clock. Absolutely love this bike. Take it everywhere if I get a chance.

Hi phil, welcome to the site.

I rebuilt some of a k5 a while ago. Those pesky floor magnets switched themselves on.

Want to do a friendly track day? It's safer than the road.

Have a look for Llandow threads, there's space in the novice group
:-)

Chances are you will take more risks on the Road just going to work than you would doing Llandow.

There is no rush phil, that's how you get to sample Hospital food.

Just take it easy and learn the bike before playing catchup.
Again, do a trackday or two, you'll learn tons about your bike in relative safety.

What Mr Nom8s said... he's bang on. main thing on the road is never ever play catch up. Feel odd if you do find your self left behind but not as odd as ending the day in a&e though and if you start the day with people knowing where you're at then there's no excuse for any group being inpatient. Just keep it steady..

Recommend the police bike safe courses to improve your awareness etc..
