The house is now full of bike bits. Some still FILTHY. Have revitalised my friendship with Mr. Paraffin but am still
overwhelmed by krap.

Two undoes remaining, every other bolt removed. Blasted swing arm. Need 2 'special tools' at a vast amount of petrol tokens. Time-out. Decisions to make. Any advice peeps ??

Need 2 castelatted sockets, one for the lock-nut and another for the DSSA main bolt itself.

It's a bugger when you need "special tools" when the factory could have used a standard fastener

OK folks, stand down, it's sorted.

The lock nut came off with tact, diplomacy and a 16 oz hammer special tool.

Then I found the secret nut under a filth-coloured dust cover. That came off via a rusty 21mm allen key (got it yonks ago for some plumbing job) plus a torque wrench in undo-mode (yeah I know) and .762 mellow metres of torque.

Then an engine-mounting bolt became a drift, with help from the above-mentioned special tool.

I have awarded myself a second cup of coffee.

For those "special tools" ...... a socket the same diameter as the 'nut' and some time with an angle grinder or dremel will give you the same thing at a fraction of the cost .....

The TL's swingarm is a similar arrangement.

Or alternatively I made up a tool using old bits of metal and lots of welding
