My knowledge of these matters is ZERO.
Do you mean my insurance or 'theirs' - whoever they are ?
No proof, no witnesses, no video etc. Can't imagine any action would succeed.

Lots of wonderful peeps including an ex paramedic who held my head for half an hour, refusing to let me take my hat off.

the details of the accident and location would have been logged, there's been no rain for weeks and your front tyre lost traction and then regained it again right out side a farm.
the maths ain't hard.
i would speak to the crew, ask for a copy of the accident report that the paramedics would of made and then go from there.
