Might pop down if I can dodge the guards on patrol at home.

I popped over on the Friday.
What a load of old S#$%, full of little choppers with there badly put together Harleys and things built in a shed. It was like walking around a massive blue oyster bar!
The stalls and bike shops looked like the brought all there really bad and poorly looked after stock to try and flog at top end prices, even the Triumph Moto2 bike looked like it's been down the road a dozen times.
I understand it's all in a good cause and they do some really good stuff with the money raised. But it's now just a meat head fest with face tattoos. Doubt I'll be going again unless it opens up to normal people who are not in a motorcycle gang because their mothers never loved them.

Agreed. I only live 10 minutes away but haven't been for several years, for the reasons you mentioned. Nice for the hoards down here on holiday but there's nothing there to interest me. On a sad note, a biker from Plymouth died on the way home on Totnes Road on Saturday I think it was.

I pootled down Sunday morning. Was it the best ever? No. But then again, it very nearly didn't happen at all this year.
It was well supported by local dealers - Triumph, BMW, Indian, Benelli, Enfield, Harley all in attendance, along with resellers like Speed. The efforts from Indian Triumph & Harley were quite big, too.
Bmad has always been about cruisers, classics, and home built bikes, and the trade stands reflect this type of rider and the (relatively) small size of the show. I didn't use the beer tent, or see the band's, but from what clips I've seen neither were too bad.
With limited time available, and having stopped to chat to people I haven't seen in a long time, I didn't have time to walk the bike park but once again imagine it reflects the usual Wednesday crowd so relatively standard road bikes or cruisers with the odd classic thrown in. Sadly, the true homebuilt special (whether chop, streetfighter, caff racer, flat tracker or whatever) seems to be in ever dwindling numbers. It has never really been a show for modern race-reps.
For a sunny bank holiday Sunday morning, it wasn't a bad way to spend a couple of hours for minimal expense whilst supporting good causes

I see the press are focussing on those riders who were running reds and using the pavement as a shortcut.
Always the few that tarnish the reputation for the many.
