How stupid does that sound!? Not 120 front tyres... ONE front tyre, obviously!born2rock86 wrote:You'll find most bikes have 120 front tyres.

As danny said pretty much most bikes will have either a 110 or 120 front tyre, but it's the rears that vary most and the differential between a 150 (yours) and a 190 (mine) can be significant
either way, you haven't said whether they were new, or what you paid yet

doesnt matter wether u got a 2 million rear tyre. if u only got a small front tyre u will only get soo far on ur back before u run off the front. but wiuht the 150/120 combo. i can go right to the edge of booth tyres. anyway yeh so.TLS-Moose wrote:As danny said pretty much most bikes will have either a 110 or 120 front tyre, but it's the rears that vary most and the differential between a 150 (yours) and a 190 (mine) can be significant![]()

And precisely what has how far you can lean them over got to do with the cost, which was the point I was trying to makebaskie wrote:doesnt matter wether u got a 2 million rear tyre. if u only got a small front tyre u will only get soo far on ur back before u run off the front. but wiuht the 150/120 combo. i can go right to the edge of booth tyres. anyway yeh so.TLS-Moose wrote:As danny said pretty much most bikes will have either a 110 or 120 front tyre, but it's the rears that vary most and the differential between a 150 (yours) and a 190 (mine) can be significant![]()

As for how far over you wear the tyre, there is a lot more to it than just tyre size ..... rim width, tyre pressure, steering geometry, tyre profile, all have a factor in it. There weren't chicken strips on the back of my supercorsa's or the Pilot race's before them, but there was still a fair bit of front tyre left on both. Haven't pushed the Pilot sports recently fitted that much yet, but they appear to wear far more evenly because the front has a flatter profile
And you STILL haven't said what you paid
